Mobilearn is a boutique digital media company working with corporate teams across South Africa. Most of what we make is meant to explain something — a new system a whole company has to learn, a strategic decision a board needs to understand, a product a sales floor needs to talk about. The work is quiet by design. When training actually trains, nobody remarks on the video; they just know the thing.

We are not a large house, and we do not try to look like one. The people who commission us tend to come back, and they come back because the finished work lands with the audience it was made for. That is the only measure we hold ourselves to.

The difference between an audience and a room.

The line above began as a way of describing our live composed broadcasts, and it turned out to describe how we think about all of it. A stream has an audience. A well-made piece of work puts people inside the thing — closer to the idea, not further from it. That is what we are after, whether the deliverable is a two-minute product film or a full day of composited meeting.

Six years inside Office Hours Global

Office Hours Global is a daily international gathering of production people, running live every working day. Our founder has been inside it for six years and sits on the panel — which means the questions the wider industry is working through, we are working through in the same room, on the same day.

It is an unusual credential for a studio this size, and it is the reason our live composed broadcast work looks the way it does. The format we run for clients was refined in that community long before we brought it to a boardroom.
